Joseph is 20 and has been diagnosed with cancer of the notochordal spine.
Joseph has received therapy but it is a malignant type, and although is slow growing Joseph will need treatment for life.
The illness has also resulted in Joseph having several disabilities due to having his neck rebuilt with plates and bone grafts.
Joseph loves everything to with Japan and his dream was to receive personal tutoring to learn the Japanese language.
We would like to thank Japanese Tutor Yoko Takahashi for giving Joseph a Japanese lesson once a week.
