Linda Reilly is a volunteer dream maker who has supported The Dream Factory since its inception.
She has some very precious memories to share. Linda says :
“A dream I remember well was the first one I did, in fact the first one the Dream Factory did, for a child who was in remission after several gruelling sessions of chemotherapy. She wanted a trip on the London Eye. We arranged the transport, tickets and lunch at the Marriott Hotel nearby. This was a relatively easy and inexpensive dream to arrange. However when I met them with the tickets, the excitement and joy on her face was humbling, as were her mum’s tears of gratitude.
It was a lesson to me just how important the smalest wish can be to the dream child.
A few weeks later Avril and I visited a boy called Murad. We all know how much time and effort Murad has given to the Dream Factory in spite of ongoing health problems. An example of how so many of the Dream children stay happy and positive and want to give back. I find so many of them inspiring and I have learnt so much meeting them.”
Thank you Linda for all your wonderful help and ongoing support. You are our Hero of the week!!
