Charitable Donations from The Haslers Foundation

Four local organisations benefit from a spree of charitable donations from the Haslers Foundation

Since it was founded almost a decade ago, the Haslers Foundation has managed to raise more than £180,000 for good causes in and around Essex and London.

Part of respected Loughton-based firm, Haslers Chartered Accountants, the foundation was set up to prevent or relieve financial hardship, poverty and to assist those with disabilities or life-limiting illnesses.

Through a range of fundraising events and kind donations from clients and contacts of the firm, the Foundation continues to achieve outstanding results for local groups and communities.

One such cause to recently benefit from its support is The Dream Factory, a charity set up to grant wishes and dreams to children and young people from the ages of three to 25 years with life-limiting conditions.

It has received a donation of £1,800, some of which will be used to throw a Disney princess tea party with presents for Hollie Hartley, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Oak View School in Loughton also benefited from the generosity of the Foundation and its supporters this year for World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) by matching donations from pupils at their non-uniform day, helping to reach a grand total of £1,392.04.

Meanwhile, High Beech Primary School received a donation of £500 for the purchase of new good quality reading books for the children who attend the school and Chess Homeless purchased new furniture for the refurbishment of their new home thanks to a donation of £1,000 from the foundation.

Jon O’Shea, Chairman of Haslers Chartered Accountants, said: “We are delighted to be supporting these wonderful local causes and organisations. Both Oak View School and The Dream Factory do incredible work, often under very challenging circumstances.

“We also hope that High Beech Primary School and Chess Homeless can make good use of our funds in their activities.”
