We at The Dream Factory are very proud and excited to announce, we have a new Trustee and acting Treasurer, who has a wealth of experience, Mr Tom Burton:
‘I am a native Essex boy having grown up outside of Brentwood and still live near there now with my wife and young daughter. I am lucky enough to work in finance within the NHS and have done so for the majority of my career, having made the sensible decision to move away from engineering which I soon discovered I was terrible at. I am the Finance Director of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust in Harlow but have worked at various hospitals across London and the East of England in various senior roles.
I have been a school governor for approaching twenty years and was keen to support a local charity that works closely with healthcare and supports children. My late father-in-law established one of the first scout headquarters in Essex in the 1950’s and was a headteacher of a special school in Brentwood so am keen to ensure I continue his legacy of supporting children who are facing challenging circumstances. The amazing work that The Dream Factory undertake is incredible and I look forward to supporting Avril and the team in continuing to take the charity forwards.’
