Stacey from Cambridge was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 and as a result had a double mastectomy.
Throughout Stacey’s journey there were quite a few hurdles that she had to overcome, many of which were psychological ones, trying to get her head around the fact that she was having to face cancer again as this was not the first time – she had leukaemia as a child. Stacey has also sadly lost her mum to breast cancer and herself then raised over £1780 for Cancer Research.
Stacey’s dream was to meet Ant & Dec, as they have been her celebrity idols ever since she was a child and she loves watching them on the TV, on shows such as Biker Grove, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Saturday Night Takeaway, and Britain’s Got Talent.
“It is a dream of mine to speak to them in person, as it’s at the top of my bucket list and I would love to be able to tick it off”.
The Dream Factory contacted Ant & Dec who were so inspired by Stacey’s story they organised virtual audience tickets for Stacey on Saturday Night Takeaway during the pandemic. In addition to that, they greeted her personally with a shout-out during an ad break and sent her an autographed cue card as a souvenir.
In May, as soon as it was possible, Ant & Dec met Stacey in person to fulfil her complete dream. We collected Stacey and two of her friends by limousine, treated them to a wonderful lunch at Kindred, and she finally got to meet the fabulous Ant & Dec with VIP seats to watch a Britain’s Got Talent Live show.
Stacey said – “It was such an amazing day thank you so so much for everything!!Xx’
Stacey we think you are truly inspirational and a very brave young lady. The Dream Factory are truly happy we could help make your dream come true!
