The Dream Factory have launched an appeal, but have also been made a nominated charity for a home-made cake and dog biscuit cake sale taking place this weekend Saturday 30 May 2020 between 11.00am and 3.00pm at 40 New Farm Drive in Abridge, Essex.
Hazel Moore and family will be fundraising and selling from her front garden in Abridge. Hazel is one of the coordinators for the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme in Abridge, doing their best as a community to keep everyone safe and aware. She has always tried to be involved in charity/community based voluntary work and enjoys being able to give something back to the community. Hazel lives very close to Ape’s Grove (Bluebell Woods) and has a lot of walkers passing for daily exercise and walk in the woods.
Walkers making a purchase will need to bring their own CONTAINERS to put cakes in and be aware of the social distancing rules. Hazel asked the community of Abridge to donate the ingredients for the cake sale and had someone donate a huge 8 kilos of self-raising flour as well as local bakers donating cakes.
The Dream Factory is an Essex-based charity established 11 years ago to brighten the lives and encourage hope for children and young adults aged 3-25 years, who have either life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, or who suffer from severe disabilities. They do this by granting their dreams and when The Dream Factory says it will take on the challenge of making a dream come true, they will then do everything in their power to make it happen in the shortest possible time. Nearly 500 dreams have now been granted since it started in 2008!
